About Franklin

Franklin is a dynamic leader with a servant leadership style who is highly analytical. 

A longtime resident of Richardson of 40 years. Franklin moved to Richardson in 1977 and attended junior high and high school in Richardson. After graduating from Richardson High School, Franklin attended Texas A&M University where he was an officer in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets ROTC program. In addition to his officer activities in the Corps of Cadets, Franklin was commander in the Ross Volunteers Company and participated in student government and several other volunteer organizations. Franklin has been a class officer and agent for his graduating class for over 25 years.

At Texas A&M, Franklin majored in Finance and Accounting and received degrees in both curricula. After college, Franklin completed his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Houston Baptist University.

Franklin married his Richardson High School Sweetheart, Jami, and they just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Franklin and Jami moved back to Richardson to raise their family. They have three sons who have all grown up in Richardson and attended Richardson schools from Kindergarten through High School.

Franklin has consistently been very involved in our community serving in leadership capacities in several volunteer organizations such as president of his neighborhood association, chairman and member of many committees at First United Methodist Church of Richardson, chairman of the Richardson YMCA, Budget Review Team for Richardson Independent School District (RISD) and long-time volunteer for Spring Valley Athletic Association, a local sports organization serving the Richardson community.

Franklin’s professional career has focused on finance, accounting and governance activities. He is currently the chief financial officer of a high-tech manufacturing company. In his professional capacity, Franklin   works on critical issues with senior management, boards of directors and other key stakeholders. 

In his spare time, Franklin enjoys snow skiing with his sons, attending sporting events and long-distance running. Franklin is a dedicated long-distance runner and has completed 19 full marathons, including Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Toronto, Dallas and Houston.
